Hello all,
This post is about my favourite quilling project till date.
"RADHE-SHYAM" - An Unconditional Love
Let me first clarify that this is not my design.. The original of this is a digital painting by BARNALI BAGCHI, which was later changed into quilling with all the permissions from her.. When i first saw this i couldn't stop myself from trying my hands on it.
So, here we go,
BASIC FACTS:
SIZE:- 3 BY 4 FEETS
TIME TAKEN:- 188 HOURS
ARTISTS:- KRATI & PRINCY
This piece took almost 1 month from a blank plywood base to the final picture.. Initial days went off in just tracings and in figuring out how to make it.. First of all primer is applied and den Dark Brown Enamel.. Then comes the tracing part. When the initial traces was done i was very worried about how to make the face and other body parts (i have never in my life tried my hands on painting, so i have very less idea of how to paint). I tried many things and at last with no option left i decided to just paste the face & other parts. Major part of this is made from 5mm quilling strips and at some places 3mm is also used.. I have tried my best to capture all the Work-in-progress pics to make it clear for all of u.
For flower tutorial pls refer to the following image from RAPUNZEL project of Dr. Pritesh Ananth Krishnan (Art'zire). Thanku mam for your beautiful rapunzel which helped me a lot in making this piece possible,,

For flute, make a roll of paper, glue it properly and paint it in ur desired colour..
Here are some complete pictures,
I have a long thankyou list..
First of all my family who supported me always. Then comes Princy(my partner in crime) . The outer border of this piece wouldn't have been possible without her support. Also Praveen bhabhi for always being there with me to answer my stupid questions and making me confident for my ideas. Then RASHI TANDON whose photographic skills has added life to this piece.. And Obviously BARNALI BAGCHI for creating this wonderful piece..
P.s. - If my post has inspired u in any manner pls feel free to leave a comment and a direct link wherever u find it useful.. Thx for understanding..
Happy quilling!
